Innovations

This is where I keep ideas. Not technology for its own sake, but things that make life a bit better or solve a problem people actually have.

How an idea turns into something real

Most of the time it goes like this. You notice a problem that annoys people or wastes their time. You ask why it hasn't been fixed already, and the answer usually tells you what the hard part is. You learn what you need to (that is what the knowledge section of this site is for). You build the smallest version that works, before it is perfect. Then you show it to people, listen, and improve it.

Things that used to be called impossible

Every one of these was dismissed by serious people at the time.

Once "impossible" Now normal
Talking to someone across the world instantly Phone and video calls
Machines heavier than air that fly Over 100,000 flights a day
A whole library in your pocket Smartphones
Machines that understand language AI assistants
Seeing inside the body without cutting MRI and CT scans

The gap between "impossible" and "obvious" is usually about one generation of stubborn people.
